Hello beautiful reader!
So far so good I must say in regards to my RAW journey. There have been some bumps in the road but that is to be expected. The important thing is I got back up again when I fell! However I wanted to share with you a moment I had one day as I was picking some mint leaves from my garden (well my mother’s garden). As I squatted down and began to search the leaves for picking I realized how beautiful the color of mint was. Next to the array of mint growing lushly I noticed a thorny weed colored in muddy green bursting from the soil. All that grows is beautiful but I know that weeds can be toxic to the nutritious trees, plants we grow. So I immediately pulled the weed out by the root and disposed of it.
That was when my moment occurred. Recently, since I began my raw diet adventure I noticed a synchronicity in the way I looked at my environment and company that I was keeping. I felt I was clearing my soil for some time and had over the past three years or so been trying to grow nutritious fruit trees, vegetable plants, and colorful aromatic flowers to surround me.
With this in mind I realized how synchronistic my healing journey has been. My new way of eating has opened a new realm in my thought process. I have been away from writing because I have been feeling the muck and gunk surface out of my system. I needed time to process and turn inward and meditate on the transformation occurring.
It is important and I should say crucial to take moments to recognize and meditate on the any change that occurs. Do not over analyze my dear but try to tenderly take into account where your recent movement in life’s journey has taken you. Awareness and mindfulness and perhaps forgiveness may come up as you start to love yourself by eating foods that speak to you and nourish you.
I have since lost around 21 lbs in what will be almost three months. Every “body” acts differently but do remember to do yoga stretches and if you can look into a re-bounder and try and jump, jump, jump!
My inner chef has also been producing new and exciting dishes! I love my Indian food and have been raised on it for the majority of my life. So I have been messing around in the kitchen, picking my mother and sister’s brains ( both amazing cooks, especially the latter…sorry mommy) and with my love for cooking have began to awaken to new recipes. So in my next couple posts I hope to be sharing more and more of my recipes that incorporate an ayurvedic, vegetarian and RAW food way of eating. Until next time remember: Keep moving! Let go! Let it flow! And LOVE YOUR MIND BODY AND SOUL!
